Religious freedom is a fundamental right guaranteed to every American regardless of faith and practice. As the first Muslim elected to the Texas Legislature, I believe true religious freedom has two pillars: free practice and zero state favoritism.

I will advocate that the Texas Legislature:​

Establish marriage parity so a leader of any faith can legally officiate a wedding

Protect every Texan's right to practice, or not practice, free from government coercion or favoritism
