SALMAN BHOJANI FOR TEXAS SENATE STRONG OUT OF THE GATE WITH $127,000 RAISED
History-Making Former Euless Councilman Now Running for Texas State Senate
EULESS, Texas (July 1, 2021) - After one month of campaigning, Salman Bhojani has raised $127,000 for his Texas Senate campaign for the first reporting period that ended June 30. Bhojani was the first minority Council Member in Euless history. He is seeking the Democratic nomination to face Republican Senate District 9 incumbent Kelly Hancock. Bhojani's donations came from more than 200 individual donors.
"I am serious about running a viable, professional campaign, and I have worked tirelessly since our launch," said Bhojani. "We will continue working hard to keep this strong early momentum going. My time on the Euless City Council was a tremendous opportunity to serve my community, and I am excited to continue helping my fellow Texans."
Bhojani was born in Pakistan. After coming to the United States, he initially supported his family by working at gas stations. Bhojani is now a naturalized citizen and owns his own law firm. He earned a law degree from Southern Methodist University and a Comparative Law Diploma from Oxford University.
“Our message is resonating. People want a leader who will focus on practical solutions and policies that help hardworking Texans succeed," said Bhojani. “I want to open up opportunities for more people. We have to set aside the ideology and partisan rhetoric and just get to work for Texans.”
